The YSU Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Yukitada Onitsuka, is an exciting and inclusive group made up of both music majors and non-majors. The ensemble meets weekly to rehearse and performs a range of original compositions, arrangements, and pop music from around the world. With performances both on and off campus, this group offers students a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of musical styles. Whether in the ensemble or the quartet, you'll gain valuable performance experience and become part of a creative, passionate community of musicians. The YSU Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble earned an honorary mention at the final round of the prestigious Mid West Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference (MWRTEC) Ensemble Competition in 2022, showcasing the exceptional talent and dedication of its members.
