For over 150 years, the Dana School of Music has been one of the nation’s premiere music programs. Our remarkable alumni have gone on to become some of the finest artists, scholars, and teachers in the world. Thousands of lives have been illumined and enriched by the study of music at YSU.

Our highly accomplished graduates may be found in fulfilling and broadly diverse careers and are Grammy® Award winners, celebrated performers, Billboard chart-topping songwriters and producers, Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra members, award-winning arrangers and producers, and featured soloists around the world. They also hold positions in orchestras, military ensembles, and jazz groups, as well as university and public school music programs across the globe.
