Choral ensembles at YSU
DSM Choral ensembles offer students a range of opportunities to develop their vocal skills and engage in high-level performance. With options spanning choral, opera, and musical theatre, students are able to refine their craft in a collaborative environment. With the option to participate in the Dana Chorale, the Dana Opera Ensemble, or Musical Theatre productions, our students gain valuable experience that enhances their artistic growth and prepares them for professional success.
Dana Opera Ensemble
Opera Ensemble helps students master the process of creating an operatic experience through role preparation, diction, and character development. A scenes program is performed during the fall semester, and a full-length opera is performed each spring.
Musical Theatre Productions
Each semester, music students who are pursing vocal studies in the DSM have the opportunity to participate in a University Theatre Musical Theatre production. These experiences enhance their personal goals and professional preparation.
