Dr. Vamsi Borra was recently named a Senior Member of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

Anish Chougule, Abhinav Giri, Ian Jones, Gyaneshwar Agrahari, and Nishan Adhikari made up the 2021 YSU Putnam Mathematical Competition team. Overall, 2975 students participated from 427 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. 

Last month, STEM students and alumni geared up for another hybrid (face-to-face and virtual) STEM Expo hosted by the STEM Professional Services, Careers, Internships and Co-ops office.

Altronic is a world leading manufacturer of ignition and control systems for industrial engines largely used in the oil and gas industry. It was established in 1955 originally as the Economy Engine company by local Youngstown business chieftains Leon Beeghly, William Bliss and William Kilcawley.

Our daily lives have become inundated with computers and networks. It is pretty much impossible to think of anything we do that does not incorporate some type of computer or computer program. From driving our cars to how the power grid is being managed is done with computers.

Youngstown State's chapter of Tau Beta Pi, also known as the Ohio Lambda Chapter, is an honor society for engineering students who choose to go above and beyond in their academics and extra-curricular activities. Congratulations to those who were initiated in Fall 2021!
