As you begin your final year of classes, follow these steps to ensure completion of your degree, apply for graduation, and participate in commencement.
Graduation from YSU
As you prepare for graduation and commencement, refer to this page as a guide.
Early in your career as a DSM student, familiarize yourself with the university’s graduation requirements. If you have questions, please talk with your academic advisor. This knowledge will help you stay on track to graduate in four years.
Step two: Fulfill your degree requirements
Meet with your academic advisor to determine if you have fulfilled your degree requirements and are on track for graduation.
Step three: Submit your graduation application
As a student in the Cliffe College of Creative Arts, you are required to apply for graduation through the Penguin Portal.

Step four: Participate in commencement
When you apply for graduation, you will be able to choose whether or not to attend your commencement ceremony. We encourage you to attend!
