YSU’s Art Program leads in preparing students for careers in the visual arts and art education. Our student-centered programs are guided by nationally and internationally recognized artist-educators who engage students with experiential-based course work that encourages interdisciplinary exploration toward furthering your conceptual, technical, and artistic development.

To prepare you for whatever your creative future may hold, we offer experiences working with a range of media, which is essential in today’s creative industries. As part of your initial studies, you’ll enroll in our Foundations Program. Our faculty will equip you with foundational skills across multiple disciplines, and you’ll be prepared to pursue one of our degrees or minors.
