For nearly 90 years, the Youngstown State University Department of Art has served as one of the region’s premier art programs. Our talented and versatile alumni have become cultural influencers and entrepreneurs and are making their mark regionally, nationally, and globally.

Department of Art alumni regularly earn national and international recognition, including as Emmy® Award winning designers, studio artists, and academic faculty across the globe. Our graduates may be found in every segment of today's creative industries. The lives of thousands of people have been illumined and enriched by the study and practice of art at YSU.

When you graduate, your involvement with the Department of Art doesn’t have to end. Your life’s experiences can benefit our students and the university in numerous ways. You can get involved by becoming a donor, returning to YSU as a guest artist or lecturer, attend alumni events either in person or online.
