Art Exhibition Spaces

Galleries + community

The Cliffe College of Creative Arts houses nearly 30,000 square feet of gallery space. Throughout the calendar year, our galleries host numerous exhibitions of work by students, faculty, and visiting artists. From sculpture, prints, and ceramics to contemporary paintings, photographs, graphic design, and more, students in the Department of Art have multiple opportunities to display and experience innovative work with diverse perspectives and social themes.

Community members routinely attend our exhibitions, as well as guest lectures and other activities held in our galleries. Our exhibition spaces are hubs for both university and community events.

A modernist landmark, dynamic programming

The John J. McDonough Museum of Art hosts more than 15 shows annually that feature artwork by students, faculty, and professional artists. Installations feature a variety of contemporary approaches and genres.

Make and install your own art

The Student Project Gallery is a dedicated exhibition space for students in the Department of Art to plan, propose, plan, and install their own exhibitions. During the academic year, shows rotate on a biweekly basis.
