When you pursue the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Studio Art at YSU, you’ll gain skills that prepare you for diverse art professions nationally and internationally as well as entry into top Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) programs. You’ll be immersed in studio experience, where you’ll develop an informed personal vision and a high level of competence in the concepts of art and the language of visual form. You’ll also expand your ability to apply reflective skills to your work and further your capacity to make sound artistic decisions within the appropriate contextual and cultural arenas. All of our programs offer state-of-the-art facilities, and you’ll be mentored by our world-class faculty. Your program will culminate in your own senior exhibition at the John J. McDonough Museum of Art.
