Photography

Experience the art and science of photographic imagery

YSU’s Photography area is part of two distinct B.F.A. Studio Art degrees: B.F.A. in Studio Art – Digital Media/Photography and B.F.A. in Studio Art – Interdisciplinary Studio Art. You’ll study photographic processes in both traditional and digital technologies within the context of a fine art program. You’ll move seamlessly between the darkroom and the state-of-the-art digital facilities while exploring historic and contemporary issues within lens-based media. The photography area places equal emphasis on the science and craft of photography as well as critical thinking and conceptual development.
