Department of Art to host annual Portfolio Day for aspiring artists

YSU’s Department of Art invites all high school students, transfer students, and aspiring artists to attend its annual Portfolio Day Saturday, February 7, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at YSU’s Bliss Hall.

This event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to showcase their creative work and receive valuable feedback from YSU’s art faculty, in addition to learning about the Department of Art’s programs, facilities, and scholarship opportunities.

“We invite all creative high school students who enjoy making art, whether in physical or digital form, to share their work with us. Bring any artwork you are proud of, whether it’s completed or still in progress, for one-on-one meetings with our art faculty. You will receive professional feedback, learn about, and apply for scholarship opportunities. You will also have the chance to ask any questions you might have about career paths and our art programs at YSU,” Department of Art Chair Joy Christiansen Erb said.

Participants are encouraged to bring five to ten pieces of their work to share. Entry to this event is free, but registration is required. To sign up for attendance, please visit the Portfolio Day webpage.

Parking is available in the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) for a $5 fee payable in cash only.
