Department events highlights
Faculty, students, and guest artists in the Department of Art, Dana School of Music, and University Theatre present nearly 200 world-class events annually. In addition, the McDonough Museum of Art hosts multiple exhibitions, performances, and community events each year.
Department of Art Lecture Series (DALS)
The Department of Art Lecture Series (DALS) brings renowned artists, designers, and scholars to Youngstown State University for lectures, workshops, exhibits, and critiques. All lectures and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
Music at Noon Series
The Music at Noon Series, presented by the Dana School of Music, showcases faculty, student, and guest artist performances and features a diverse array of musical genres. Held in the main gallery at The Butler Institute of American Art, the weekly Series occurs each Wednesday at 12:15 PM, and concerts are free and open to the public.
University Theatre mainstage productions
For over 50 years, University Theatre has presented high-quality productions that critically and creatively serve Youngstown State University, Cliffe College, and the region. Each academic year, University Theatre features numerous fully produced mainstage theatre and musical theatre productions and more.
