The Beecher Art & Technology Lecture Series welcomes innovative thinkers in the world of art to tell their stories and inspire students on campus to create and be creative. Presentations are held throughout the academic year and may be hosted in-person or virtually. All events are free and open to the public.

Crystal Beiersdorfer 

YSU alumna Crystal Beiersdorfer creates digital artworks that explore the relationship between the human body and technology, examining how online interactions shape personal beliefs and daily habits. Through video, sound, and interactive media, she distorts digital forms to reveal the tension between physical and virtual experiences.

Blise Orr is a multidisciplinary practitioner who focuses on digital culture and the ethics of technology. Her work breaks away from the traditional boundaries of architecture, reexamining what it means to be considered an architect in today's modern era.

Johannes DeYoung 

Johannes DeYoung is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose work focuses on the intersection of computational and material processes. He is the co-founder of the periodic web journal Lookie-Lookieand works as an assistant professor of electronic and time-based media at Carnegie Mellon University.
