“Solar Screen”
Associate professor of art Missy McCormick worked alongside a team of regional artists and designers to create a sculpture called “Solar Screen.” Available to view in downtown Youngstown, the artwork is one of five community art projects funded by a grant awarded to YSU by the National Endowment for the Arts.
“Passing Perceptions"
Associate professor of art Missy McCormick had her ceramic work featured in a solo art exhibit, titled “Passing Perceptions,” at Indiana University East.
“Tadd Dameron: The Magic Continues”
Professor of music Kent Engelhardt transcribed, notated, and edited scores and parts from jazz musician Tadd Dameron’s final album, “The Magic Touch,” which was recorded in 1962. Engelhardt then organized a 15-member band that performed and recorded the transcribed music for a new album titled “Tadd Dameron: The Magic Continues.”
