YSU University Theatre presents production of “Scapin”

YSU University Theatre will present its production of “Scapin,” a comedy that promises laughter and questioning of the truth, in the YSU Ford Theater November 10 – 12 and 17 – 19, 2023.

This classic farce, directed by senior lecturer Todd Dicken, follows the adventures of the mischievous servant Scapin as he explores themes of deception, forgiveness, and the triumph of wit.

Cast members include Cherish Michele, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Cyrus Dzikowski, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Natalie Ciccone, Austintown, Ohio; Natalie Horvath, Hubbard, Ohio; Lauren Ladd, Hubbard, Ohio; Lex McCaughtry, Lowellville, Ohio; Nicholas Figiel, Greenville, Pennsylvania; Aidan Holderfield, Alliance, Ohio; Anthony Mudryk, Struthers, Ohio; Ben Schatzel, Brookfield, Ohio; Gunnar Carwile, Hicksville, Ohio; Torrance Bajuszik, Saxonberg, Pennsylvania; and Begad Farid, Alexandria, Egypt. The stage manager is Olivia Vargas, Austinburg, Ohio.

Friday and Saturday performances of the play begin at 7:30 PM, with Sunday performances beginning at 2:00 PM. All performances are held in the YSU Ford Theater, which is located in Bliss Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.

All seats are sold as general admission. Adult tickets are $16. For non-YSU students, YSU alumni, YSU faculty and staff, senior citizens, Penguin Club members, and groups of eight or more, special rate tickets are available for $12. YSU students earn free admission with a valid ID. To purchase tickets to the show, call 330-941-3105 or visit ysu.tix.com. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue parking deck (M30) for $5.
