Summer Festival of the Arts to return to YSU for 27th annual event
June 30, 2025
This free two-day festival brings together artists, performers, and community members for a vibrant showcase of creativity and culture on YSU’s campus.
The event will feature a juried marketplace of original works by artists from across the region, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, textiles, woodworking, metalwork, and jewelry.
Hands-on activities for children of all ages will also be offered throughout the weekend from organizations such as Students Motivated by the Arts, who will sponsor a SMARTS Children’s Arts Tent.
Finally, live music performances will take place both days of the event across various outdoor stages, featuring a dynamic mix of genres and talent from throughout the Mahoning Valley. A variety of food vendors will also be on site, serving festival favorites and regional specialties.
Organized and presented by YSU, the Summer Festival of the Arts is made possible through the generous support of community partners and dedicated volunteers. The event reflects the university’s long-standing commitment to cultural engagement and regional enrichment, while continuing a tradition that began in 1999.
Free parking for this event will be available in lots located off 5th Avenue. For more information or to view a complete schedule for the weekend, please visit the festival’s website.
