McDonough Museum of Art awarded Ohio Arts Council grant

July 1, 2022

The McDonough Museum of Art was awarded an Ohio Arts Council (OAC) grant in the amount of $11,625. The grant is for the 2023 fiscal year and is part of the museum’s four-year sustainability agreement with the OAC.

“The funding from [the] Ohio Arts Council helps us to create dynamic programming, to bring in world class artists, and to offer exhibitions and events that are free and open to the public. We are grateful for their assistance and the support of our local and state government officials for supporting the arts,” McDonough Museum of Art director Claudia Berlinski said.

OAC’s funding supports programs such as the Emerging Artist series. It also helps to create opportunities and community collaborations for new and emerging visual and performing artists, especially those with underrepresented voices and viewpoints.

The OAC offers this funding to support a wide range of Ohio’s arts providers as they make high quality artistic experiences available to residents and visitors, positioning Ohio as a national leader in creativity, artistry, and cultural wealth.
