Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series welcomes Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble

The Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series will welcome the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, one of the world’s most popular dance companies, to campus Monday, October 17, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the YSU Ford Theater, located in Bliss Hall on YSU’s campus.

“We are beyond thrilled to bring Ailey II to our community,” Cliffe College of Creative Arts dean Phyllis Paul said. “[The Alvin Ailey] performances are nothing short of riveting. The dancers are spectacular artists with flawless technique who interpret cutting-edge choreography with extraordinary beauty. We anticipate an inspiring and exhilarating evening of dance, history, and community, and invite you to join us for a most memorable experience.”

The Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation’s mission is to further the vision of choreographer, dancer, and cultural leader Alvin Ailey by creating an extended cultural community that provides dance performances, training and education, and community programs for people all over the world.
