Painting by Department of Art professor to be included in 2025 Biennial Juried Exhibition in Columbus

October 21, 2025

YSU Department of Art professor Dragana Crnjak has been selected as one of 61 artists to have artwork included in the 2025 Biennial Juried Exhibition opening in Columbus Friday, October 25.

Crnjak’s painting, titled “The Day It Rained Amber,” was selected by three jurors out of more than 1,900 entries. Pieces in this exhibition feature contemporary works of art by artists who live and work in Ohio, including installation, drawing, fiber works, painting, photography, and printmaking creations.

The chosen artwork was selected by jurors Wendy Earle, curator at the Akron Art Museum; Charlotte M. Gordon, the artistic director of the Southern Ohio Museum and Cultural Center; and Deidre Hamlar, who directs the Aminah Robinson Legacy Project at the Columbus Museum of Art.

The exhibition will be available to view at the Ohio Art Council’s Riffe Gallery in the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in downtown Columbus through Friday, January 9, 2026. Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public.
