“Small but Mighty” exhibit to open at Judith Rae Solomon Gallery
February 26, 2021
The Judith Rae Solomon Gallery has opened a new exhibit titled “Small but Mighty,” which is available to view on the second floor of YSU’s Bliss Hall Friday, February 26, through Friday, March 26.
The exhibit, organized by professor of art Dragana Crnjak, features small-scale paintings that reflect her students’ explorations of color, surface, composition, and the synthesis between the formal and conceptual aspects of painting. Driven by curiosity, the small-scale painting studies trigger discoveries that lead to further investigations and development of personal vocabularies and methodologies.
Students whose work is represented in the exhibition include Naihomy Lebron, Youngstown, Ohio; Rachel Hritz, Youngstown, Ohio; Holly Yarab, Boardman, Ohio; Verena Bo Gyeong Son, South Korea; Patrick Savage, Youngstown, Ohio; Jayme McKay, Hermitage, Pennsylvania; Cassandra Holsopple, East Palestine, Ohio; Michelle Davis, North Jackson, Ohio; Stephanie Ranalli, Girard, Ohio; and Siobhan Bacha, Boardman, Ohio.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
