Though the 2020-21 YSU football season has been put on hold, YSU’s Marching Pride will perform its pre-game and halftime shows at the “Meet the Marching Pride” event Saturday, October 3, at 1:30 PM at Stambaugh Stadium.

"Fall just isn't the same without marching bands and football games,” Cliffe College of Creative Arts dean Phyllis Paul said. “Since we can't get together in the typical ways, a lot of folks have collaborated to make this year's ‘Meet the [Marching] Pride’ event possible.”

The marching band will be joined by the Penguinettes, the Color Guard, featured twirlers, and a drumline. In addition, head football coach Doug Phillips will introduce the football players during the event.

“Especially during this unique time when live events are limited, our students are eager to have the opportunity to represent Youngstown and YSU in a fun and relaxing way,” athletic bands director Brandt Payne said.

The event is free and open to the public. Physical distancing and face coverings are required. Parking is available for a nominal fee in the M-70 surface parking lot.
