Wind Ensemble to perform year-end virtual concert

The YSU Dana School of Music Wind Ensemble, directed by professor of music Stephen Gage, will host a year-end virtual concert on Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 PM.

The event will open with recordings of two live performance selections from a Wind Ensemble concert held in February 2020, accompanied by slideshows that display band photos from the past year.

The concert will also include the premiere of the ensemble’s virtual performance of “Stars and Stripes Forever,” produced by graduating Dana School of Music student Brendan Gage.

As part of the event, ten graduating students from the ensemble will be acknowledged. These students include Ryan Dutton, Dallas, Texas; Noah Cline, Warren, Ohio; Brendan Gage, Poland, Ohio; Dominic Gentile, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Ross Hill, Poland, Ohio; Andrew Kovaleski, Columbus, Ohio; Elliot Kwolek, Beaver, Pennsylvania; Daniel Sager, LaPorte, Indiana; Sarah Schwenke, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania; and Mitchell Topf, Zelienople, Pennsylvania.
