Dana School of Music opera program to present "Little Women"

The Dana School of Music opera program will present “Little Women,” an opera by American composer Mark Adamo, for its spring opera event Friday, April 26 and Sunday, April 28 in the YSU Ford Theater, located in Bliss Hall.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel of the same name, “Little Women” follows four sisters living in New England during the Civil War.

Students participating in the event include Erika Walker, Canfield, Ohio; Jaelyn Mack, Dayton, Ohio; Amanda Bertilacci, Niles, Ohio; Justine Snowden, Ohioville, Pennsylvania; Trenton Shutters, Jamestown, New York; Emilio Santiago, Hermitage, Pennsylvania; Palmer Stillio, North Huntington, Pennsylvania; Ellie Owen, Fairlawn, Ohio; Michael Sheely, Mineral Ridge, Ohio; Antionio George, New Castle, Pennsylvania; Rachel Gardner, Cleveland, Ohio; Emma Price, New Castle, Pennsylvania; Alana DeBoard, East Liverpool, Ohio; and Andrew Meyers, Jefferson, Ohio.

Friday’s performance will begin at 7:30 PM, with Sunday’s production set to begin at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults; $12 for senior citizens and YSU alumni; $10 for YSU faculty and staff with a valid ID; $5 for children up to age 18; and free for YSU students with a valid ID.
