Art professor wins Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award

Professor of art Dragana Crnjak was selected as one of 75 Ohio artists to be awarded the 2023 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award.

Recommendations for this award are made through an anonymous, open-panel review process that focuses on the work of the recommended artists. In 2023, the panel received over 600 applications in crafts, design, media art, photography, and 2D and 3D art. Winners are awarded $5,000.

The award is given to artists whose bodies of work exemplify dedication to the advancement of the creative community. The award money helps to support artists’ growth and development while recognizing their cultural influence outside of the state of Ohio. Crnjak was one of 32 visual 2D artists to receive the award.
