Dana School of Music alumnus picked to lead Raiders House Band

David Perrico, (B.M., ’02), a Youngstown native and a graduate from YSU’s Dana School of Music, has been selected as the new front man for the Raiders House Band. As part of the group, Perrico will play in front of 65,000 fans in the Raiders’ new state-of-the-art building Allegiant Stadium.
The band consists of 19 members, including four singers, five horns, an all-female six-piece string section, and a four-piece rhythm section. The band performs a pre-game show, throughout the game, special half-time shows, and post-game celebrations. Perrico composes the music for all of the performances.
Perrico, a trumpeter, conductor, and composer, has lived and performed in Las Vegas for 17 years. He has performed internationally with numerous big-name musicians and groups, including Tommy Dorsey, Donny & Marie, Natalie Cole, and Cirque du Soleil. Perrico has been the recipient of numerous awards for original jazz and symphony orchestra compositions and is the creator and director of Pop Evolution and Pop Strings Orchestra.
