PRIME Promotes Math Careers in Youngstown City Schools The People Reaching Intuition in Mathematics for Empowerment Program (PRIME) is an after-school program that gives interested high school students from Youngstown City Schools the opportunity to participate in mathematical activities and experiment with mathematical research. |

Careers in Math: Opportunities Abound! Public perception of mathematics careers is often limited to teaching, at either the high school or college level. While this is a noble career path for mathematics students, there are plenty of other opportunities for mathematics majors in the public and private sector. |

YSU STEM Co-op of the Year: Oluwatumininu Adeeko Oluwatumininu (Tumi) Adeeko is a third-year student and a Mechanical Engineering major, originally from Nigeria. Tumi was selected as a Wen H. Ko summer intern to work with the Advanced Platform Technology (APT) Center at the Cleveland VA Medical Research and Education Foundation from June 2021. |

YSU STEM Intern of the Year: Cole Sexton Cole Sexton is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in both Mathematics and Chemistry. During the summer of 2021, he interned with Lordstown Motors to learn about the automotive industry. Cole worked in the Paint Shop of the plant. |
