Please join our YSU STEM family in welcoming Dr. Osama (Sam) Aljarrah, new Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering. Dr. Aljarrah earned his PhD in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

The opportunity to pursue research and development interests, while simultaneously working closely with students is what attracted Dr. Aljarrah to YSU. He intends to use his background and interest in operations research, machine learning, and simulation to study physics informed simulations and machine learning, to develop a free source code for discrete event simulation, and to create a manufacturing simulation using surrogate modeling.
