For well over four decades, the college has hosted hundreds of cultural events for our campus and community in some of the finest venues in our region.

Department Highlights

 

Department of Art Lecture Series (DALS)

 

The Department of Art Lecture Series brings highly acclaimed artists, designers, art historians, and critics to the YSU campus throughout the year. Students also interact with these visitors through studio visits, workshops, and classroom discussions.

 

 

Music at Noon Series

 

The Music at Noon Series, presented by the Dana School of Music, showcases faculty, student, and guest artist performances and features a diverse array of musical genres. Held in the main gallery at The Butler Institute of American Art, the weekly Series occurs on Wednesdays at 12:15 PM, and concerts are free and open to the public.

John J. McDonough Museum Emerging Artist Series

 

The John J. McDonough Museum of Art’s Emerging Artist Series for visual and performing/performance artists encourages a wide range of perspectives and focuses on young artists within a 250-mile radius of Youngstown.

University Theatre Mainstage Productions

 

For over 50 years, University Theatre has presented high-quality productions that critically and creatively serve Youngstown State University, Cliffe College, and the region.
