Transfer Admissions

Transfer admissions

We’re excited you’re considering University Theatre for your theatre studies!

Transfer from another institution

Step 1: Apply to YSU

Whether you’re applying as an undergraduate or graduate student, you must be admitted to YSU before auditioning for acceptance into University Theatre. There are different admission processes for transfer applicants who are new to campus and for former YSU students who wish to return. The YSU Office of Admissions provides detailed information.

If you have questions about the YSU application process for transfer students, undergraduate applicants should contact the YSU Office of Admissions, and graduate applicants should contact the YSU Graduate College.

Assignment of students to applied voice teachers is made by the department chair in consultation with the area coordinator and applied instructor. Requests for a change of teacher should be addressed to the Director in writing. To the extent possible, a student's choice of applied teacher will be taken into consideration, but the final assignment resides with the Director.

It is possible for students to be admitted for the spring semester admission.  If you are interested, please contact the Cliffe College Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment.
