Non-Major Offerings

Stay or become involved!

At University Theatre, we believe that an education in theatre can enrich the lives of all students, regardless of their major, background, or career plans. Students with a broad array of interests find that a minor in Theatre combines well with other majors.

Our courses and numerous ways to be involved are designed for all students and cover a wide range of theatre topics and opportunities. You may perform in one of our productions, enroll in one of our general education courses, earn a minor, and more. We invite you to take the stage with us!

We offer several minors for student enrolled in other majors. Explore our minors

Add more drama to your life with a theatre minor

No matter what your major is, you can add a Theatre Minor to your degree.

Our diverse selection of Theatre Minors includes minors in Dance, Film Studies, Puppetry for Non-Theatre Majors, Theatre Studies, and more.

Minors provide opportunities to develop knowledge and skills at a basic collegiate level. Evolving economic, demographic, and technological conditions provide increased incentive for creativity and leadership in society. Courses allow for personalization and may be tailored to your interests.

Take private voice lessons

Have you participated in Musical Theatre productions previously and want to continue studying voice? Or, perhaps you would like to begin vocal studies now. Either way, one-on-one instruction can help you meet your performance goals. You can earn credit and take lessons with Theatre faculty and tailor your studies to suit your purposes. Lessons are available for both experienced performers and beginners.

Study with our world-class faculty

As a student at University Theatre, you’ll study with and learn from our internationally acclaimed faculty. They’re artist-educators who may be seen regularly nationally and abroad as performers, directors, designers, and more. With these activities, our faculty are dedicated to bringing a wealth of current knowledge to their pedagogy.
