Artificial Intelligence

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence makes it possible for machines to be able to perform human-like tasks. Artificial Intelligence (also known as AI) mimics the "cognitive" functions that human minds can accomplish, such as "learning" and "problem-solving".

What is Artificial Intelligence Used For?

In Today's society, Artificial Intelligence is used every day to perform simple and complex tasks. Entertainment companies use AI to help assist in music, movies, and shoes that a specific user might like to watch/listen. Another common use for AI is an NPC (non-player character) in a video game. These characters use multiple AI techniques to help it appear as a player is playing against another human. Video games and entertainment are just a small example of what AI can do. AI is used in almost all commercial airplanes to help pilots navigate the airways and control the plane's mechanics. Another popular use of AI today is its role in self-driving automobiles. There are multiple cars on the road today that use AI to drive without the need for a human controlling the wheel, such as all Tesla cars and Google's Waymo car. AI is even being used in the medical field to help doctors save lives from figuring out personalized drug protocols and to robots that assist in surgeries.
