Student Organizations

Get involved

When you join a student organization, you’ll gain professional experience outside the classroom and studio, further develop your leadership skills, engage in social and cultural interactions, and provide a valuable service to the university and surrounding community. You’ll also have a voice in planning events and work with visiting artists and other creative professionals. No matter your area of interest, Cliffe College of Creative Arts encourages you to join one or more organizations and become involved.

 

Theatre student organizations

Alpha Psi Omega (Theatre Honorary Society)
 

University Theatre is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, the National Honorary Dramatics Fraternity. Students may become members of the local chapter by:

  • achieving the prescribed cumulative grade average
  • earning a prescribed number of points through participation in dramatic activities


Membership requires sophomore standing.

Musical Theatre Student Organization

The Musical Theatre Student Organization (MTSO) promotes University Theatre events by fundraising, hosting events and receptions, arranging guest artists and speakers, and more. MTSO membership is open to all YSU students.
