You’ll perform here
Each year, we present four fully staged mainstage productions on campus. You’ll also participate in the Festival of New Works, Musical Theatre Cabarets, and multiple other avenues through which to express your creativity. No matter the production, you’ll work in our exceptional performance spaces. Both theaters are located on the first level of Bliss Hall.

YSU Ford Theater
YSU Ford Theater hosts major University Theatre productions. The 400-seat standard proscenium theater also supports dance recitals and music performances and allows public speakers to speak to larger audiences.
Spotlight Theater
Spotlight Theater is a flexible capacity black-box theater that accommodates small-scale productions. The versatile arena-style theater also serves as an experimental space for student-directed plays, classes, masterclasses and workshops, rehearsals, and student showcases. Spotlight Theater also hosts TEDx Youngstown.
