Engineers Week was full of activities and friendly competition as the engineering programs collected points to see which program would ultimately come out the winner.

Over 200 students participated in the competitions, which included film canister rockets, a drone race, and constructing mini catapults.  An industry forum on entry-level engineering roles saw over 60 students in attendance and featured panelists from Hynes Industries, AjaxTOCCO, and ms consultants. Hynes Industries sponsored a special evening on Tuesday Night, which included the Order of the Engineer Ceremony, where 55 senior engineers took the Oath of the Engineer.

Throughout the week, students from the Youngstown City School district also visited and took part in demonstrations and hands-on activities to learn more about engineering. A food drive benefitted the Mahoning Valley Rescue Mission, and over 3,500 food items were collected!

In the end, the Mechanical Engineering Program was the clear winner and earned the Engineers Cup for the second straight year!
