STEM College Seeks Student Researchers

The Rayen School of Engineering is seeking freshmen/sophomore/junior engineering students who would like to be involved in research in the following projects:

  • NASA Lunabotics competition project – design and build an autonomous mining robot with assured and trusted microelectronics. https://www.nasa.gov/offices/education/centers/kennedy/technology/nasarmc.htm
  • YSU Greenhouse AI project – design and build an autonomous gardening robot with assured and trusted microelectronics. The robot will perform battery management, moisture/temperature controls, oxygen level monitoring, growing led light adjustments, etc.

The students will be hired as undergraduate research assistants under the Air Force ADMETE grant. Interested students should contact Dr. Pedro Cortes at pcortes@ysu.edu
