Winner's Credo by Rob Carson
The following concepts are strong and to the point. In many cases they may seem a little too strong or egotistical but that is o.k. They are necessary for not only tapping into the conscience mind, but it is also working on the subsconscience mind to unlock unlimited possibilities. It is not for me as a National Champion Drummer to put limits on any performer but rather to open the door for the impossible and the un~~own. I would say, on all of this, "experience is the only true tool along the path - It should be viewed as one of the greatest gifts of life further, warriors without scars do not exist".
1. I AM THE GREATEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD
I truly believe that when one focuses his attention on an idea, it will at some time, come into physical manifestation. Our limitation of any given experiences are only limited by how much we can encompass and become that ideal. Greatness is only the outcome of a degree of enlightenment about an idea which is beyond normal experience. We can only explore and realize to a degree the dream we are willing to except. Give yourself room.
2. I WILL NOT GIVE UP - PERSISTENCE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS
You are a success at anything you honestly and truthfully take up. You must accept that you create your own limitations, opportunities and experiences. Realize that persistence, practice and patience will bring the unfolding of your goal.
3. I WILL REMEMBER THE GOAL
I will remember the goal especially when I am beaten, tired or down. This is quite basic but often forgotten in the trenches. Quiet reflection will bleed over to positive emotion and energy. I've never met a great soul who hasn't pounded his fist on the ground at least once; maybe twice.
4. ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE
The most important thing is the group and its cohesiveness. Keep your thoughts of yourself to yourself in that what you are becoming may not yet be realized. Do not give off energy about what you are thinking of becoming because it may offend and hamper others with a limited view - Besides its your business only.
