ACS members holding up 70th anniversary balloons

The American Chemical Society Student Chapter is an undergraduate organization devoted to increasing of knowledge and interest in the fields of chemistry.  Majors involving chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biology, and forensics are welcome to join.  The activities of the organization are meant to enhance the college experience for YSU students and to prepare undergraduates for successful careers.  The organization also works on volunteer projects which help the community, conduct chemistry demonstrations at local schools and other events, like Silly Science Sunday at OH WOW! Children’s Center for Science and Technology and the Canfield Fair.  Group social events like picnics and the annual holiday party make the members’ experience both educational and fun. In 2019 the organization celebrated its 70th anniversary!
