STEM Careers, Internships & Co-ops understands that hard work and good conversations can pay huge dividends in one’s professional and educational career. These lessons seem to be translating to last year’s STEM students, because during the fall (2025), spring (2026), and summer (2026) 152 STEM students completed an internship, co-op, or undergraduate research opportunity which is an increase of over 10% from the previous fall, spring, and summer semesters. Many of the interns not only had the opportunity to have hands-on experience but also found an employer that provided the guidance and mentorship that can genuinely make an experience memorable. Employers and STEM students should be very proud of the work that they produced over the past year, and we firmly believe that a few of these professional relationships will continue to blossom as students and employers reconnect for a second, third, or fourth shared work experience.
