Fall 2026 STEM Expo: Creating Meaningful Connections Between Students and Employers

The Fall 2026 STEM Expo once again brought together STEM students, alumni, and employers with a common goal: building relationships that lead to career opportunities. More than a recruiting event, the STEM Expo provided a space where students could engage in meaningful conversations with industry professionals, learn about career pathways, and gain valuable insight into the skills and experiences employers seek.

Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to discuss internships, co-ops, undergraduate research opportunities, and full-time positions directly with employers representing a broad range of STEM industries. These conversations allowed students to showcase their talents, ask thoughtful questions, and begin developing professional relationships that can extend well beyond graduation.

Employers consistently emphasize that successful recruiting begins with authentic engagement. The Fall 2026 STEM Expo gave organizations the opportunity to meet talented YSU STEM students face-to-face, learn about their interests and goals, and identify future interns and employees who can contribute to their organizations. For many students, a brief introduction at the Expo may become the first step toward an internship, co-op, research experience, or full-time career.

The College of STEM and the STEM Careers, Internships & Co-ops office extend sincere appreciation to all participating employers, sponsors, faculty, staff, and volunteers who contributed to the success of this year’s event. Most importantly, thank you to the students and alumni who took the time to prepare, attend, and engage with employers. Your professionalism and enthusiasm are what make the STEM Expo such a valuable experience for everyone involved.
