The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) oversees building and maintaining the nation’s 5th largest interstate system and the 2nd largest number of bridges. We take pride in providing safe and efficient roadways for the people of Ohio and to the people traveling within our great state. And in order to achieve that, we do A LOT! From Planning, Engineering, Construction to Law, HR, Communications, IT and everything in between, ODOT has a career for just about everyone. ODOT does not require interns to register their experience with their University, and has a structured Intern/Co-Op Program. Hiring around 25-30, interns annually. Statewide ODOT usually hires at least 25-30 graduating seniors each year. ODOT is a company that regularly attends both the Spring and Fall STEM Expos at YSU. The Ohio Department of Transportation is construction, and maintaining Ohio’s bridges and highways, engineering and highway operations as wall as snow/ice control. With 12 locations in the State of Ohio ODOT’s central office is located in Columbus. The products offered by ODOT are a Public Service.
