The Excellence Training Center will hold camps this summer that will provide opportunities for participants to get hands-on experience using universal robots, virtual welding equipment, computer aided design and 3D printers. While in the center, students will also learn about career pathways that are available if they are trained in the various areas of advanced manufacturing they will experience during the week. Bringing K-12 students into the ETC is a priority for us, because we are trying to show that advanced manufacturing is fun, clean and that there are jobs in the field that pay very well. Not only that, there is such a shortage of trained workers in the workforce right now, that companies are very appreciative when they find someone that is interested, responsible and willing to learn the skills that they need.  By exposing young students to camps like this, they learn while having fun!
